Paying it Forward

I met Peter and Irene on the ship, yesterday. They were interested in my drawing...one thing led to another and well, here they are....on paper. Peter and Irene have a unique keepsake of their voyage and to express their appreciation of my gift to them, they are making a donation to the crew fund.

Some Insights...

While I have traveled to all seven continents and over 95 countries on five + years of almost non-stop voyages, it feels like I've only just begun to explore this incredible world. In our home, the suitcase is always packed.

It's been a privilege to teach art on some of the world's most prestigious cruise lines. On sea days, I inspired people to draw and introduced novice artists to the thrill of pencils, paper and possibility. Who ever dreamed that along with an amazing world cruise, they would return home to show off their stunning self portrait? Or, instead of buying baskets or silk scarfs in local markets, guests created their own cherished objects. While discovering the world, guests also discover themselves. I am proud to be the catalyst. It's part of creating relationships that is at the crux of all that I do, especially on a cruise ship.
